For more than a decade, CESO has partnered with Kroger, starting with fuel programs and growing into a dependable resource for new stores and remodels. When Kroger faced the challenge of refreshing aging locations while opening modern ones, they needed a partner who could keep up with ambitious timelines and evolving expectations. Our integrated civil engineering, architecture, and interiors teams remain committed to providing effective solutions.

Over the past year, we have managed 50+ projects across five states. Stores ranged from 25,000 to 123,000 square feet, and each required a tailored approach to meet Kroger’s benchmarks. Managing this size range was not just about square footage; it was about creating spaces that make sense for Kroger and the communities they serve. Larger stores demanded intricate coordination of systems and layouts, while smaller footprints called for creative space optimization.

Our architecture team led the design process, preparing construction documents for remodels and new builds, as well as creating zoning approval renderings. The interiors team supported these efforts by enhancing customer flow, integrating brand standards, and ensuring that each space felt welcoming and intuitive. Our civil engineering team contributed by helping with site development needs, including grading, utilities, and infrastructure elements. Through clear communication and proactive planning, we managed overlapping schedules and kept all projects moving forward without missing a beat.
