CESO serving as Architect of Record for Hannaford grocery marked the start of a collaborative journey that began with a conference presentation and evolved into a trusted partnership built on shared goals. The work involves remodels throughout the Northeast, with stores averaging 50,000 square feet. Each project begins with detailed scoping and a thorough review of existing conditions, helping identify constraints early and reduce risk. From there, teams position each remodel with Hannaford’s current prototype while balancing budget considerations—ensuring consistency and operational efficiency. Construction documents are prepared over a focused schedule, followed by development.

Adaptability has been essential as we learned Hannaford’s standards while working closely with client-selected subconsultants. By prioritizing communication and productivity, the team created a template set of drawings that simplifies future projects and reinforces cohesion across locations. This method reduces review time, minimizes bidding and permitting questions, and supports smoother delivery.
