Grace Covenant Church

Embracing the Future of Worship

There is an increasing need for innovative environments that resonate with current congregants and possess the ability to draw in new ones. Recent facility developments aimed at engaging members focus on opportunities for recreation, education, moments of respite, or connection with friends.

LOCATION: Cornelius, North Carolina

Church facilities are one of the most critical tools in shepherding people - leading many churches to become more intentional when envisioning their space.Through a partnership with COSCO & Associates, our architecture team has worked on Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, North Carolina. The project encompassed a 28,000 SF addition to an existing church to create a Multipurpose Family Life Center.

Focused on the present and moving with expectation into the future, highlights of the work have focused on many new amenities, including a multipurpose space with a platform and full audio/video capabilities, locker rooms, classrooms, and offices. The new second-floor addition provides high school and middle school areas for gathering as well as worship.

Construction of the new two-story building included both a steel and a pre-manufactured metal building. The addition is attached on both levels to the existing primary worship and classroom building. The site has been adjusted to provide additional entry and maintain parking and circulation around the building.
