CESO Named a UB Fast 46 Company

CESO was named to the University at Buffalo’s Fast 46 competition during a ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022.

Named in honor of UB’s founding in 1846, the UB Fast 46 program was created to recognize and celebrate the success of 46 of the fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UB alumni or former students around the world.

Fast 46 honorees represent the world’s fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UB alumni or former students; companies were ranked by the percentage of cumulative annual growth in revenue for the three most-recent 12-month reporting periods as confirmed by The Bonadio Group, the official verification firm for Fast 46.

CESO was ranked 14th. Founded in 1987, CESO employs over 300 associates across 11 offices. The company provides professional services in civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, environmental architecture, and interiors to clients in the commercial, industrial, energy, public works, and residential sectors. CESO has been recognized as an industry leader in the architecture and engineering industry by ENR, VMSD, and Building Design & Construction. Leading the company is President Steven Olson, AIA, NCARB. Steve is a University of Buffalo alumni who graduated in 1992 with a BPS in Architecture. Steve provides executive leadership over the firm’s vision, strategy, and operations in his role. He is also a long-standing member of the AIA and serves on the advisory board of the Retail Contractor’s Association.

“I am honored to be selected as a UB Fast 46 organization leader. So many learnings that influenced my career were instilled during my time at the University. To be reviewed by my peers and have the achievements of CESO considered worthy of this distinction is both humbling and gratifying. I would like to recognize all of the associates at CESO who have supported our vision and goals. Their dedication has made this achievement possible.” – Steve Olson
