Columbia Road Widening
Exiting Western Row Road, Columbia Road, Kings Island Drive and Interstate 71 on/off ramps were widened to accommodate both future traffic projections and Kings Island Amusement Park traffic coming from Interstate 71. Special features of this project included double left and right turn lanes, pavement salvage utilizing cross-slope transitions and overlay techniques and traffic signal reconstruction. Maintenance of traffic at this particular intersection was very important due to the requirement of minimizing the impact to the traveling public who were not familiar with the area.
