Survey Instrument Operator

We are currently seeking Survey Instrument Operators to join our team for client accounts in our Canton and Columbus, Ohio offices. This is a regular full-time position and an outstanding opportunity for an individual with at least 2-10 years’ experience.

Work with Project Manager and other surveyors to complete surveys and research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for easement, rights-of-way, lot-line adjustments and mergers. Plan and organize surveying efforts to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining, or other purposes. Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. Perform field surveying to obtain data for base plans. This individual may be asked to assist with a variety of other responsibilities as needed, both in the office and out in the field.

The successful candidate will be proficient in all levels of electronic data collection techniques including GPS control networks. Familiar with or willing to learn pipeline industry standards, terminology, and procedures and experience in boundary and topographic data collection methods to generate CAD drawing packages for pipeline projects is essential. Survey Crew Chief

We are currently seeking Survey Crew Chiefs to join our team in our Canton and Columbus, Ohio offices. These are regular full-time positions and an outstanding opportunity for an individual with at least 5-8 years’ experience.

The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for the field operations of survey crews. In addition, the Survey Crew Chief will be conducting reconnaissance and setting up functions of the crews, as well as, directing and instructing one or multiple survey field technicians, and the operation and maintenance of all survey equipment. The successful candidate will also interact with client field representatives as well as with other CESO project managers.

The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for the efficient operation of the field crew using standard operating procedures, safety and health awareness and report relevant information back to the Survey Manager, in an accurate and concise manner. They will also operate conventional and robotic total stations, GPS receivers, cut brush, carry survey equipment, and maintain company equipment and survey vehicles.

The successful candidate will be working in a multiple person field crew, or at times independently, conducting various types of land surveying including, but not limited to, boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, surveys for natural gas well plats and linear pipelines, and construction stakeout.

Civil Engineering Team Manager

We are currently seeking Civil Engineering Team Managers to join our team in the Columbus and Dayton, Ohio offices. This is a regular full-time position and an outstanding opportunity for an individual with at least 8-10 years’ experience in the field of Civil Engineering.

As Civil Engineering Team Manager, you are directly responsible for supervising multiple civil engineering teams in the production of civil engineering construction documents for various clients’ projects in the field of site retail, transportation, oil/gas well pads and pipelines, and water resources. The Civil Engineering Team Manager is responsible for allocating project work to team members, assisting with technical questions, and developing skill sets of the civil engineering team members in their respective offices.

In addition to coordinating workload between other team managers and project leads, the successful candidate will ensure teams are meeting client program requirements within deadlines and budgets, assist in determining staffing levels and guide the professional development of civil engineering team members, as well as, ensure designs meet technical quality requirements.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles and practices relating to site layout, grading/earthwork, hydrology/hydraulics, soils, surveying, utilities, asphalt, and concrete pavement, and the ability to fully lead the civil engineering construction documents process through to completion. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for client accounts in our Columbus and Canton, Ohio offices, and our Lansing, Michigan office. This is a regular full-time position and an outstanding opportunity for an individual with at least 4 years’ experience.

The responsibilities for this position include providing general engineering on a variety of projects for retail, roadway, and pipeline projects in the Oil and Gas industry. Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates for assigned projects. Interact with various personnel, clients, and state and/or federal agencies regarding assigned projects. Must be willing to mentor local staff and administer training programs. Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager

We are currently seeking Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager to join our team in our Dayton, Columbus, or Canton office. This is a regular full-time position and an outstanding opportunity for an individual with at least 3+ years’ experience.

The Safety, Health and Environmental Manager is responsible for Safety and Environmental programs to ensure a safe and healthy working environment and leads continuous improvement initiatives to reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries and accidents. Ideal individual builds trust and confidence with the operations team and influences change through safety data analysis and process safety management implementation and improvements. This individual may be asked to assist with a variety of other responsibilities as needed, both in the office and out in the field.

The successful candidate will be familiar with Government, State, OSHA and local requirements. They will have experience performing inspections, monitoring and promoting workplace safety, environmental compliance and conducting training. A Certified Safety Professional, OSHA trainer, or someone with experience in the Oil and Gas industry would be a plus. Graphic Designer

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team in our Dayton, office. This is a part-time position and an outstanding opportunity for an individual with entry-level experience.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of graphic collateral materials and web content from concept to completion. We are looking for someone with a sharp eye and good taste that is ready to jump into any challenge that awaits him or her. Individual will create designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. The work variety can include polishing up existing designs, re-imaging existing publications, creating complete new publications, updating website information, and using creative eye for in house photo shoots and photo editing.

The successful candidate will be familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and web design in Dreamweaver. The candidate should also possess strong organizational skills, technical writing skills, and have the ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
